What We Did
The UK Games Fund Awards is a unique celebration of the UK’s grass-roots independent games development sector. The most promising talent in the sector has been handpicked to join the UK Games Fund community since the programme launched in 2015. Now with over 100 companies having benefitted from support it’s time to celebrate the successes. Awards for the Best Studio/Games Development Genius sit alongside the Tranzfuser categories, each recognising and rewarding the innovation and hard work that goes on behind the scenes.
Nominees had the chance to visit the city described by Stephen Fry as having a setting “probably more extraordinary than any other city in the UK. It is about as ideal – ludicrously ideal – as any setting could be.” This is a big year for Dundee’s cultural life with the V&A having opened their stunning design museum on the waterfront. Make time in your visit to check this out. Nominees participated in a daytime networking/showcase event in a waterfront location near the V&A before the awards celebration in the evening.
